CARE COSTS & FUNDING
The cost of live-in care varies depending upon a number of factors including the individual care needs and requirements of the client. Care needs can range from companionship and gentle support, mobility and frailty issues to more complex care needs such as advanced stage dementia, Parkinson’s disease, other chronic debilitating illnesses through to end of life/palliative care.
The cost of live-in care is comparable to the fees of a good residential home and may often be less. Significant savings can be made especially when a couple are being looked after together at home with none of the stress and upheaval of having to move into a care home. It is widely acknowledged that health and well-being are improved when care is provided within the comfort and familiarity of home.
