At Artemis Care we have an inclusive holistic approach to care and that extends to our wonderful carers. We are fortunate to work with outstanding, professional, experienced and dedicated carers working on a self-employed basis.
The personal touch is at the very heart of everything we do. Our aim is to get to know you well and build a good relationship based on trust, mutual respect, openness, honesty and integrity. We want your experience of working with us to be a positive one and our aim is to have an ongoing long term relationship with you.
At Artemis Care we have absolute respect and appreciation for the invaluable work that live-in carers do. We know the demands that live-in care places on carers and the dedication and commitment that the work entails. Our aim is to treat you with professionalism, kindness, respect and do our utmost to introduce you to compatible clients that you will build a positive relationship and work well with and hopefully return to regularly in the future. We endeavour to do our best to ensure that you have a comprehensive overview and are fully aware of the demands of the role prior to your acceptance and engagement.
We understand that being a live-in carer can be lonely at times. When busy focusing on and caring for others we can sometimes neglect our own emotional needs and well-being. At Artemis it is very important to us that our carers feel part of a mutually supportive caring community. We will regularly check in with you to make sure everything is going well whilst you are with a client and you are always welcome to call us during business hours.
We know that wonderful carers know other great carers who work to the highest standards and we welcome personal recommendations. We happily pay our lovely carers a referral fee (after a successful probationary period) for the carers that they introduce to us.
As a self-employed carer you are fully in control of your availability for work placements and preferred pattern of work. We understand the importance of flexibility and pride ourselves on our flexible inclusive approach to care placements. As opposed to rigid inflexible patterns of work, or strict handovers that only take place on a predetermined day of the week, as adhered to by some care agencies, we believe a far superior way of working is to take into account the preferences of both clients and carers and accommodate these, as far as possible. Our experience shows us that flexibility is key in order to facilitate optimal solutions and achieve the best outcome for both clients and carers.
